Recycle

So some of the spoilers came out today and I noticed a possible new theme: recyclable fashion. Quite a few dresses came out with titles that said they were recycled or made out of unusual material choices for clothes. I looked them up and the elastic jacket, record dress, bow tie dress and comb dress all come from a Belgian designer, Martin Margiela and his artisanal collections. The newspaper dress was part of a 2007 London fashion week collection by Gary Harvey which consisted of 9 dresses that were trying to change perceptions of second hand clothing.

I got a free Harumika sign when I logged in today. If you're not in the U.S. you probably need to use a U.S. proxy. It led me to this contest page: http://www.stardoll.com/en/campaigns/harumika/ Apparently you dress up your Stardoll and enter and every day the contest will be set up much like the Stardoll runway with one winner a day whom will receive 25 Stardollars. At the end of the contest on April 18 the daily winner who has the most votes will win the grand prize of 100 Stardollars. Also this is a U.S. only contest.

Balmain

Balmain is generally known as a very expensive fashion house with dresses going for between $12,000 and $24,000. And the cheapest article of clothing currently for sale is this cut up army green tee for a whopping $1,650! I generally love Balmain's fashion, but this is ridiculous!
